A 1964 graduate of Norwich University in Northfield is donating 2.5 million dollars to his alma mater.

The college publicly announced the gift of former trustee Bob Mack today.

The Norwich community learned of the gift last month after a meeting of the Board of Trustees.

Mack’s gift, which will be given to Norwich over five years, carries no restrictions.

Mack was a senior vice president of what is now Aetna Health Plans.
