The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has given the Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant a good report card for last year.
It uses a color-coded grading system and gave Vermont’s lone reactor a top-level green grade in all areas last year.
The NRC says Vermont Yankee had a grade of white, the next level down for the first three quarters of last year. That was the result of a failure to provide emergency tone-alert radios to all residents living within ten miles of the plant.
But the agency says it is satisfied with corrective actions taken by Vermont Yankee.
