(Host) The National Transportation Safety Board will announce on Tuesday what it thinks caused the tour boat Ethan Allen to capsize on Lake George.

Twenty, mostly elderly, passengers died when the boat overturned suddenly on a sunny day last October.

About a month ago the NTSB released thousands of pages of information pertaining to its investigation of the tragedy. Documents made it clear the Ethan Allen was overcrowded and inherently unstable.

But the agency hasn’t yet said whether it believes those factors caused the boat to capsize.

An NTSB press release says Tuesday’s announcement will include findings, probable causes and possibly safety recommendations. The meeting will be webcast live on the agency’s website.

The Warren County, New York, District Attorney is still deciding whether criminal charges should be filed in connection with the accident.
