Obama leading presidential candidate fundraiser in Vermont

Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama is the leading fund raiser in Vermont.

Obama has raised almost three times as much money in the state as other presidential hopefuls, Democrat or Republican.

Campaign finance records show that the Illinois senator raised more than $46,000 in Vermont during the first quarter from 41 Vermonters.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney raised $16,000.

Among Democratic candidates, New York Senator Hillary Clinton raised $5,000 while former North Carolina Senator John Edwards received $3,000 dollars.

Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona raised $9,000 while former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani raised $7,400 dollars.
