FAHC meets with mental health advocates
The interim CEO at Fletcher Allen Health Care has reached out to a group that has been among the hospital’s strongest critics. Ed Colodny spoke Friday to a group of mental health advocates. Farm subsidy
Many struggling dairy farmers in Vermont are relieved to be getting federal subsidy checks this week. The subsidy program was included in the farm bill passed last spring, replacing the Northeast Dairy Compact. The new program comes after a year of a rapid decline in prices that milk processors pay to farmers. (AP)
NH statewide races
Republicans continue to hold leads in all of New Hampshire’s top races. The American Research Group conducted a poll that shows 51 percent of respondents support Republican Congressman John Sununu’s race for the U-S Senate. His challenger, Democratic Governor Jeanne Shaheen, has 43 percent support. Republican candidates have commanding leads in New Hampshire’s two congressional races and in the state’s gubernatorial race. (AP)
