A Bellows Falls pharmacist is facing criminal charges that he stole a variety of drugs from the store where he worked.

Fifty-eight-year-old Gary Illingworth Senior was arrested on Monday.

The state pharmacy board revoked Illingworth’s license in April.

State pharmacy board records say that Illingworth admitted to stealing 20 bottles of hydrocodone, as well as hundreds of pills to treat heart disease and other ailments.

Surveillance cameras were installed in the store after an employee noticed some drugs were missing.

Illingworth was spotted on the camera consuming one of the drugs.

Illingworth is due in court next month to answer the charges.
