A college that trains pharmacists is considering opening a campus in Vermont.

The Albany College of Pharmacy hopes to start a graduate level program in the Burlington area.

The program would take up to 70 students next fall and gradually expand to accommodate up to 500 students in five years.

College officials say they are searching for a dean, faculty and staff.

The college says it chose to expand into Vermont because its one of two states that lacks a pharmacy degree program. The other state is Delaware.
