Vermont police say three people have been arrested in the death of a South Burlington man found shot at an apartment where a drug deal was taking place.

Police say the victim was 35-year-old Abdul Clay, who was allegedly supplying drugs to Robert Dougherty when the shooting occurred early Monday at the City’s Edge Apartments.

Dougherty is a 35-year-old Winooski resident, and is being held on charges of assault, robbery and murder. Krystal Tyler, a 27-year-old from Colchester, and 22-year-old Jacob Beane Shelburne, are being held on charges of assault and robbery and accessory after the fact in a homicide. Police say their investigation also resulted in the arrest of 30-year-old Yosef Pitts for a parole violation.

The investigation is continuing.
