Police were called to the U-32 High School in East Montpelier on Wednesday during a protest at the school. The assistant principal says several students were protesting the school’s discipline policies and refused to go to class.
When police arrived, about five students were shoving each other in the lobby and more than a hundred students were watching and refused to return to class. To prevent any violence, the assistant principal says she called police.
No one was arrested during the incident. U-32 says the school will take disciplinary action.
