The ground search for a missing Middlebury College student won’t resume until the weather warms and deep snow begins to melt.

Middlebury Police Chief Tom Hanley made that announcement yesterday.

Police planned to reevaluate the ground conditions to decide whether to launch another ground search for 19-year-old Nicholas Garza, who’s been missing for more than a month.

Garza of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was reported missing by his mother, five days after he was last seen leaving a friend’s dormitory just after 11 p.m. on February 5th.
