The Vermont State Police say they won’t release dashboard video of a trooper firing two shots at a man who aimed a weapon at her at a Bethel apartment complex.

Police say 26-year-old suspect John Connelly wasn’t hit by either of two shots fired by Trooper Stacey Corliss Sunday night.

Police were called to Connelly’s home after receiving a report he had aimed a weapon at his brother and fired a shot in his apartment.

Police say the video shows the red light of Connelly’s laser sight and Corliss’s two shots.

Connelly didn’t fire his weapon at police. He pleaded not guilty Monday to four charges.

Police say video and audio of the incident was recorded on cameras in two cruisers.

State Police say they can’t release the video because it’s part of an ongoing investigation.
