Vermont couples willing to spend $5,000 will be able to attend a private reception on Friday with First Lady Laura Bush.
State Republican Chairman Jim Barnett says admittance to a less-exclusive luncheon fundraiser with Bush will cost Republicans $200 each.
Barnett says there’s room for about 150 people at the luncheon meeting. He did not say how many couples could attend the private reception.
The fund raiser is to benefit the state Republican Party and the congressional campaign of former adjutant general Martha Rainville.
Rainville is one of three Republicans seeking her party’s nomination to run for the seat in Congress now held by Bernard Sanders.
