Two teenage boys at Barre’s Spaulding Union High School face severe discipline in connection with Internet threats to shoot up the school.

Police have not named the boys.

Police traced the threatening posts on an overseas gaming site to the two freshmen.

Police searched the school, but did not find any weapons.

The school district’s superintendent says the students will meet the school board to discuss possible discipline.

John Bacon, superintendent of the Barre Supervisory Union schools, says the punishment could be a supsension, even expulsion for the remainder of the school year.
