Chittenden County prosecutors say it’s unclear when the man accused of shooting two people and wounding two others in Essex yesterday will be able to appear in court.

Acting State’s Attorney Margaret Vincent says information about what charges will be filed against 26-year-old Christopher Williams will be available today. Police say Williams was upset after breaking up with his girlfriend, Andrea Lambesis.

Just before two yesterday afternoon he went to the home Lambesis shared with her 57-year-old mother Linda and killed the older women.

He then went to the Essex Elementary school and shot and killed 56-year-old Mary Shanks and wounded teacher Mary Snedeker.

Police say Williams then went to a condominium complex and shot Chad Johansen, an acquaintance. They say Williams then shot himself twice in the head, but survived.
