Burlington police say ten people were arrested last night at a war protest at the office of U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy.

It was the third such incident in less than two weeks.

The protesters are unhappy about supplemental funding for the war in Iraq.

Police say they refused to leave when asked by Leahy’s chief of staff and were taken into custody briefly before being released.
They were not formally charged.

Six people were arrested on March 21 after occupying Congressman Peter Welch’s office followed by eight arrests at the offices of Senator Bernie Sanders last week.

No charges were filed after those arrests
