A woman charged in the killing of a St. Johnsbury Academy teacher wants her trial moved out of Caledonia County.

Patricia Prue’s attorney says extensive media coverage of the case makes it highly unlikely for her to get a fair trial in her home county.

Patricia Prue and her husband Allen Prue both face charges in the murder of 33-year-old Melissa Jenkins, of St. Johnsbury.

The Prues are accused of killing Jenkins and dumping her body in the Connecticut River last March.

Both suspects have pleaded not guilty. Trial dates have yet to be set in the case.
