Windham County Sheriff Sheila Prue is due in court tomorrow to answer criminal charges related to her management of the department.
The Vermont Attorney General’s office says Prue will face charges of embezzlement, petit larceny and neglect of duty.
A state audit this spring determined that Windham County Sheriff Sheila Prue diverted funds and nearly bankrupted her department.
Prue is due in court tomorrow at 1 o’clock.
