The Vermont Public Service Board says details of a financial arrangement between the town of Sheffield and a wind power developer need to be disclosed.

The board says all correspondence between the town and “UPC Vermont Wind” should become part of the public file on the developer’s request to build wind turbines in Sheffield and Sutton.

Sheffield and the company worked out an agreement about how much money UPC will pay the town if it wins permission to build the wind towers.

A group opposed to the project known as Ridge Runners asked the board to require that documents related to the deal be made public.

The project calls for 20 wind turbines in Sheffield and six in Sutton.
