Crime in Vermont is up. That’s never pleasant news to deliver, and it’s certainly not welcomed by Vermont’s Public Safety Commissioner Kerry Sleeper. Perhaps most disturbing, says Sleeper, is the figure that shows Vermont’s violent crime rate rose by just over 12% last year, with one type of crime especially prevalent:
