Another national report gives Vermont high marks for raising healthy children.

The Commonwealth Fund says Vermont children lead the nation in the potential to lead long and healthy lives, and that the state ranks first for equity in children’s health care.

It says Vermont ranks second in the overall health of its young people.

The reports analysis focuses on 13 indicators of child health system performance and how they relate to access, quality, costs, and the "potential to lead healthy lives.”
