The Republican National Congressional Committee is getting involved in the U.S. House campaign of Martha Rainville.

A filing with the Federal Election Commission shows that the national committee spent $21,000 to do a poll on behalf of Rainville.

The campaign of Democratic candidate Peter Welch says the poll was testing negative themes that could be used against Welch during the campaign.
