Town officials in Ripton are meeting Monday night to review the town’s response to emergencies such as Tropical Storm Irene.

The discussion will revolve around experience gained during Irene and other disasters.

Ripton has been working closely with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to recover the cost of repairs made to transportation infrastructure devastated by Irene.

At Monday night’s meeting, officials will consider the most likely emergencies and disasters that could strike Ripton, and whether the town can identify those areas of the community most vulnerable to those events.

Another item on the agenda asks what resources are available in the event that the town is cut off for a significant length of time.

The meeting begins Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Ripton Community House.
