A main road through northeastern Vermont will be closed to traffic next weekend.

The state Agency of Transportation says it’s planning to close Route 105 through Brighton so crews can replace two culverts.

Construction is slated to run from 6:00 p.m. Friday until 6:00 a.m. next Monday.

If weather interferes, the plan is to push the project back a week.

A detour will take traffic through Canaan and Bloomfield, though local traffic will be allowed to use side streets in Brighton.
