A 27-year-old Rutland man has returned to Vermont from Florida to face charges he killed a man in Winhall last year.

Joshua Gould pleaded not guilty today to a first-degree murder charge.

Gould is charged with killing Renato Wieser last year at a vacation home owned by Wieser’s parents.

Police say Gould and 28-year-old Christopher Kosmalski of East Dorset stabbed Wieser during a robbery in May 2006.

Gould and Kosmalski were later arrested in Florida on armed robbery charges.

Gould was convicted and sentenced in Florida to up to 10 years in prison. But agreed to return to Vermont to face the murder charge.

There’s no word on when Kosmalski will return to Vermont.
