School van accident injures girl

Vermont State Police in Middlebury say a crash in the town of Salisbury has critically injured an unidentified 12-year-old. The accident between a school bus van and a Chevy Blazer occurred on Route 7 at about 7:00 a.m.

Police said the school bus van was traveling northbound and the Blazer was southbound. They said their investigation showed that the Blazer had crossed the center line to make a turn when the crash occurred.

Three people, including the driver of the school bus van, a passenger in the school bus, and the 18-year-old driver of the blazer received minor injuries. The critically injured 12-year-old was a passenger in the Blazer.
