Vermont State Police say a boater who disappeared while tubing on a reservoir remains missing.
Thirty-one-year-old Paul C. Spackman, of New York, has been missing since Sunday, when he was tubing with a female friend during a storm and went underwater in Harriman Reservoir as he was trying to get back into the boat they’d rented.
Neither was wearing a life jacket.
Detective Sgt. William Jenkins says members of the Vermont State Police, Wilmington Police Department, Wilmington Fire Department, Whitingham Fire Department and Brattleboro Dive Team searched unsuccessfully for Spackman.
A Vermont State Police scuba team will search again Tuesday.
