A judge has set an Oct. 29 sentencing for a man who killed two people and wounded two others in a shooting rampage in Essex.

Christopher Williams, 29, could get life in prison for the Aug. 24, 2006 attacks at the home of his ex-girlfriend, Essex Elementary School and a condominium.

On July 17, a jury rejected his insanity claim and convicted him on two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Prosecutor Marry Morrissey says she’ll ask Judge Geoffrey Crawford to sentence Williams to life without parole.
