Police say a Rutland County sheriff’s deputy is recovering after his cruiser was involved in a collision with a Jeep over the weekend.
State Police said 33-year-old Jayson Flood was taken to Rutland Medical Center yesterday afternoon for back, neck and head injuries. A hospital spokeswoman said he was in fair condition.
The Rutland Herald reports police said Flood was driving east on Route 4 near Pico ski area in Killington. The Jeep was behind him. They said Flood activated his emergency lights and veered right in preparation to make a U-turn, but the driver of Jeep tried to drive around him.
Police are still investigating the crash.
