(Host) Governor Peter Shumlin will travel to Los Angeles today to meet with the vice president of China.
Shumlin is one of five governors invited by Vice President Joe Biden for the session with Xi Jinping.
Shumlin says many Vermont companies want to export to the growing markets in China, and to attract jobs here from Chinese manufacturers.
(Shumlin) "I’m focused every single day on growing jobs in this state, and if I can develop a relationship with the incoming president of China, I’ll make a flight to do it."
(Host) Jinping has visited Washington and Iowa during his visit to the US, and will stop in Los Angeles before heading home
