Several Northeast Kingdom businesses are heeding the warning about traffic from this weekend’s Phish concert. The Ethan Allen furniture plant in Orleans and the Columbia Forest Products plant will be closed on Friday.
More than 70,000 people will gather in Coventry Saturday and Sunday for the concert, Phish’s last. Traffic is expected to be heavy on nearby Interstate 91 on Friday as Phish fans arrive for the show at the Newport State Airport. Traffic leaving the site also is expected to be heavy on Monday when Ethan Allen workers return for a normal shift.
