New Hampshire’s House and Senate will hold a special session today to deal with providing state fuel assistance this winter, and to vote on overriding two vetoes.
Governor John Lynch and a bipartisan group of lawmakers are proposing adding millions of dollars of state money to help people stay warm this winter in New Hampshire.
Under the proposal, the state would spend $10 million to supplement what New Hampshire receives from the federal government for a fuel assistance program.
The vetoed bills deal with setting up a commission to look at taxing alternative fuel and electric-powered vehicles, and allowing bidders at foreclosure auctions to start eviction proceedings.
