State economist Jeffrey Carr will issue a forecast on Thursday that predicts Vermont is headed toward an economic recovery. According to the report, economic conditions suggest the final six months of the year will be sluggish, but a traditional economic recovery is likely next winter.
This is the third time Carr has predicted a recovery for Vermont’s economy. He concedes the past two forecasts he’s made didn’t pan out. Carr says there are still risks that this recovery will stumble.
