(Host) The state announced a new program today for Vermont businesses seeking international markets for their products. Commerce Secretary Kevin Dorn says the new Vermont World Trade Office will replace the Vermont Global Trade Partnership, whose federal funding is coming to an end.

Dorn say the Vermont World Trade Office will promote the international trade interests of Vermont businesses:

(Dorn) “The governor is deeply committed to supporting Vermont businesses in their international opportunities. We’re going to make sure that where Vermont businesses need supporting in the international marketplace, they have that support, either directly from the department or through one of the partners who are involved in the collaborative.”

(Host) Dorn said the partners in the collaborative include chambers of commerce and business development organizations around the state.
