Vermont State Police say troopers fatally shot a man in Bradford who pointed a gun at them.

The victim’s identity hasn’t been released.

Captain Edward Ledo is the chief criminal investigator for the State Police. Ledo says the shooting occurred Tuesday night after police were called to an apartment building for a report of shots fired.

Ledo says that when troopers arrived, they found a man at the back of the apartment who pointed a gun at him. Troopers fired on the man and he died at the scene of his injuries.
