Starting tomorrow Vermont State Police troopers are going to be working out of interstate rest areas in Williston and Guilford.

Troopers will set up satellite offices in the southbound rest area on Interstate 89 in Williston and the northbound rest area on Interstate 91 in Guilford. They say it will give them quicker access to the highways.

State Police Sergeant John Flannigan says each rest area will be equipped with a state police computer.

The program will help increase the state police presence on the interstates.

Flannigan says the volume of traffic on the interstate is increasing.
