Vermont’s fiscal year is half over and the numbers are looking good. The Douglas administration reported today that General Fund tax revenues are running above projections.

In the first six months of the fiscal year, the state General Fund took in $486 million, which is roughly $19 million more than had been expected. Lawmakers and Governor Jim Douglas will meet on Friday to discuss how the next six months look for state taxes, and to make projections for the fiscal year that starts in July.
