About a dozen Middlebury College students are driving across the country in a school bus fueled by used vegetable oil.
They want to use their road trip to educate people about the benefits of environmentally-friendly travel. Middlebury sophomore Thomas Hand says emissions from vegetable oil are less polluting than emissions from diesel fuel.
The group leaves Vermont tomorrow and hopes to arrive in Washington state later next month.
