A Boston-based movie company wants teenage extras for a murder mystery it’s filming in Vermont’s capital city. Coppermine Films has chosen Montpelier for “Right of the Meridian,” a film scheduled to be released in December through Paramount Picture Classics.

Filming begins Saturday at Montpelier High School. The production company is looking for about 20 high school students and some high school baseball players in uniform for filming Saturday morning. Producer Stefanie DeCourcey says would-be extras should show up at the school at about nine o’clock. They’ll get lunch, but no pay.

The company is expected to be shooting scenes in central Vermont over the next few weeks.
