Third fire hits Ferrisburgh

The Vermont State Police are investigating the cause of another fire in Ferrisburgh. Fire crews from several Addison County departments responded at about three o’clock this morning to a storage barn fire on Sand Road.

It was the third major fire in Ferrisburgh in 36 hours. A former dairy barn burned on Hawkins Road late Tuesday night.

And police say arson was the cause of a fire on Tuesday that heavily damaged a historic former Grange building. The 1868 structure was going to be converted into town offices. The Ferrisburgh Select Board is holding an emergency meeting tonight to discuss whether to rebuild or choose a new location for town offices.
