Federal officials estimate that more than five-thousand homes in New Hampshire have been damaged by last week’s flooding.

Of that number, 25 homes were destroyed and 235 suffered major damage. At least 94 businesses have reported damage.

In addition, hundreds of roads were damaged.

New Hampshire Governor John Lynch has now formerly requested that President Bush issue a disaster declaration for six counties in the state.
