Three people have been killed in a crash on Interstate 89 in Bolton.

Police say 29-year-olds Jason Potvin and April Otis and 8-month-old Hunter Potvin, all of Williamstown, were killed when the Subaru that Jason Potvin was driving went off the road, crossed the median and crashed head-on into an oncoming pickup truck.

Police say the two adults were not wearing seatbelts. Authorities also say it appears that the infant’s car seat was not properly installed.

The driver of the truck, who was wearing a seatbelt, was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash occurred at about 7:30 a.m. Monday.

Both southbound lanes of the interstate were closed until about 1 p.m.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
