Vermonters across the state will be gathering in town halls, school gymnasiums and other locations tomorrow for the annual Town Meeting Day.

Towns and cities will be voting on school budgets, new fire trucks and other issues.

In Brattleboro, residents will vote on whether President Bush and Vice President Cheney should be arrested if they ever set foot in the town.

In St. Albans, voters will consider switching from a town administrator style of government to a town manager.

And up in Island Pond, Ted Miller is being challenged for the position of constable, a post he has held for 25 years. Challenger Darren “Bucky” Tardif says Miller is writing too many speeding tickets and he’s scaring away the tourists.
