One of the four young campers injured when a makeshift cooking fuel can exploded in Barnstead, N.H., has been transferred to a burn treatment center in Boston.

Four Girl Scouts between the ages of 11 and 13 were hurt Saturday when the can they were refilling with alcohol exploded, spraying them with burning fuel. Two suffered only minor injuries, but one was taken to Concord Hospital with burns on her arm and another to Boston with more severe burns on her hands, arms, neck and face.

The girls were at Camp Fatima for the weekend with about 75 Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops from northern New England. Authorities say one of the hospitalized girls is from New Hampshire and one is from Vermont.
