Brattleboro police have been told to suspend their use of Taser stun guns while town officials review the department’s policy on their use.

The Selectboard held an executive session last week after police used Tasers while arresting two protesters.

And police were told over the weekend to suspend their use of Tasers while the town investigates.

Two people who were protesting possible plans to build a gas station on a vacant lot were hit with Tasers.

They had been arrested for trespassing after chaining themselves to a barrel and refusing to leave.
