A recent graduate of the University of Vermont was among five activists deported by China for protesting at the Summer Olympics.
Sam Maron says he and others put up a "Free Tibet" banner in front of the China central television building Friday.
Maron says that after police interrogated them, he and the others were put back on a plane to New York.
At UVM, Maron founded a chapter of Students for a Free Tibet.
