The University of Vermont says a student was found dead in his off-campus apartment.
A spokesman for the university says the student was a 20-year-old man from New York who was studying engineering. His name hasn’t been released.
The Burlington Free Press reports that the student was found in his room early yesterday by suitemates in the Redstone Lofts. He says they called 911 when they could not wake him. Police later pronounced him dead.
The cause of the death wasn’t immediately known.
So far the investigation into the death hasn’t pointed to any suspicious activity or foul play.
