(Host) In Johnson, members of the Vermont Electric Cooperative can vote Tuesday on a controversial transmission line proposal.

They’re deciding whether to build the line between Lowell and Jay. But it’s been caught up in a related debate about a wind power project on Lowell Mountain.

The line would serve the wind turbines. Opponents want to defeat the line as they fight against the wind project.

Voting takes place at 6 p.m. Tuesday tonight at VEC headquarters in Johnson.
