Vermont author Sara J. Henry garnered awards and acclaim for her first novel, Learning To Swim.
That book introduced Troy Chance, a freelance journalist who uncovered a mystery after witnessing a young boy being pushed off of a Lake Champlain ferry.
Troy Chance returns in the new novel, A Cold And Lonely Place.
In the new book, a body is discovered at the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival, and Chance realizes it’s someone she knows. She then investigates the life and mysterious death of the frozen figure.
VPR’s Neal Charnoff spoke with Sara Henry in VPR’s Colchester studios.
Henry will be appearing at Bear Pond Books in Montpelier Tuesday, February 12th at 7pm, and at Northshire Books in Manchester Center February 15th.
