The Vermont Country Store has a new president.
The Orton family, who owns the retail and mail-order catalog company, announced Wednesday that Chris Vickers, the chief merchandising and marketing officer, has been promoted to president and CEO.
He replaces Bill Shouldice, who left the southern Vermont business at the end of last year.
Vickers joined the Vermont Country Store in 2010 and had previously served as vice president of merchandising at L.L. Bean, Inc.
