There hasn’t been much good news about our nation’s economy in recent months.  The subprime mortgage mess has been fueling the fire for months.  The Fed is trying to calm nervous investors by cutting interest rates, for the sixth time since September — this time by three-quarters of a percent.  And that "R" word is suddenly everywhere: recession.

How is all this affecting the state’s pocketbook?  Jane Lindholm talks with State Treasurer Jeb Spaulding about how the state is working to protect its investment assests.
